When I started my first year as a full time photographer (first full year was 2001), one of the first churches I photographed in was St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington, LA. I love the old wooden beams inside, it’s got a simple but beautiful construction. Many weddings at this church later, I got to photograph Hilary and Scott here, then off to Slidell for their reception at Trinity Banquets and Receptions, a hall that is under new ownership. Their wedding was simple and fun, their main desire was to enjoy the evening, and that was what everyone did. Not too fancy but with nice details, just enough to make for a memorable evening with friends and family.
