Wedding & Reception – the Chickory, New Orleans, LA

The Chickory in New Orleans has become one of my favorite locations to shoot weddings at downtown. It’s conveniently located near several nice hotels, with easy access to the French Quarter. The historical building has a texture and architecture that is very appealing in the photos, and it seems the weddings there are always a lot of fun. Stephanie and Joseph’s wedding was no exception. We started off with a few photos of the bride as she was getting ready, then she met the groom on the porch outside for a first look. It was a lovely moment for the two of them, and I could tell right away they were going to be loads of fun. We took some photos before the ceremony with the bridal party and family. The room for the ceremony was wonderfully decorated, with drapery, candles and a lovely chandelier. After the ceremony, their reception was all that I anticipated, with a lot of fun had by everyone. The photos really show how great a time everyone had, and I’m sure the bride and groom will never forget their special evening in the great city of New Orleans.
