It’s been a busy year so far in 2016, we’ve been shooting lots of weddings this year and raising dogs (we are also hobby dog breeders). I’m trying to get back to posting some weddings that we enjoyed shooting and hopefully get the website caught up to some more recent ones. Dominica and Jordan got married last winter in November, 2015, with the ceremony at the St. Louis Cathedral in the heart of the French Quarter, with a second line to follow, and then back to the JW Marriot for the reception. The Cathedral is something of the center of the city in some ways. It’s of course the most commonly seen image of New Orleans, along with brass bands and the French Quarter. The church is magnificent, of course, and beautiful inside to match it’s stature. Their ceremony was very sweet, followed by some bridal party photos in Jackson Square, right outside the church. The second line band showed up, which was the Kinfolk brass band who are a very well known traditional style New Orleans jazz band. As we moved through the French Quarter streets, Jordan liked to stop and give his new bride a proper kiss and hug. They certainly were enjoying themselves. The reception featured some excellent food, as is always to be expected in New Orleans, and they carried on into the evening with family and friends.
