Engagement portraits – Fontainblue State Park, Mandeville, LA
Wedding – Palmettos on the Bayou, Slidell, LA
Katie and Zachary had the perfect location for they fun personalities to get married, Palmettos on the Bayou. It’s a location with a lot of character, and some wonderful areas for photos. The dock by the Bayou is excellent for portraits, and is where we did a first look for them to see each other before the ceremony. At night that is also a lovely location with the lights in the trees for a sweet photo. The ceremony is outside by a beautiful oak tree, and then the reception back on the covered deck, with easy access to the bar and food service areas. The ambiance is rustic and fun, with many areas to relax and an open feeling for the party. They took full advantage of the DJ to have a great party with their friends and family. The had all the extras, including a photobooth on the upper deck, and an artist who made a painting of the reception area while they partied. The finished the evening with a second line dance, and then exited the front of the building with a sparkler line to see them off. This was a wedding that perfectly matched the laid back and happy bride and groom, who are sure to have a wonderful life together if this evening is any indication of the rest of their journey together.
